Based in the Nagpur district of the Indian state of Maharashtra, Kamptee is a municipal council and a suburb of Nagpur city. It is also an administrative centre for Kamptee taluka and is placed below the confluence of the Kanhan River with the rivers Kolar and Pench. Kamptee is a locality well-connected with other cities of the state via road transport and railway line and it is also located on the Mumbai Howrah railway track. Other than this, several buses also run regularly between Nagpur and Kamptee. The locality is also rich with several architectural spots that depict ancient artefacts, temples and other places of worship.
