Kalol is a municipal council and a city situated in the Nagpur district of Maharashtra state. It is also an administrative headquarter of Katol taluka and one of the 14 talukas of the district. The city has many educational institutes in its region. Katol also has many places of worship such as Chandika Devi Mandir, Sharada Mandir, Shiv Mandir among many others that have an architectural outlook and idols and these add up to the charm and beauty of the temples. The environment of the region has forced the farmers to change their cultivational techniques from farming cotton and soybean as compared to orange which has reduced to almost to half.
